Dr. White is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and American Board of Surgery. He is also a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons. He is a contributing expert for the popular book “Be Your Best” A Comprehensive Guide to Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.
Dr. White’s philosophy behind his practice is to create an enjoyable, relaxed and safe environment for his patients. He built Carolina Coastal Plastic Surgery & Medical Spa in beautiful downtown Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and has been operating at this facility since 1998.
Dr. White’s Timeline
Graduation
Dr. White obtained his medical degree in 1975 from the Citadel, graduating with honors.
Medical Degree
While under an Air Force scholarship, Dr. White earned his Medical Degree at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Internship
After Graduating from MUSC, Dr. White interned at the Keesler USAF Medical Center in Biloxi, Mississippi.
General Surgical Residency
Dr. White continued his surgical training with three years of General Surgery residency at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center in Spartanburg, SC.
Plastic Surgery Residency
After his general surgical residency, Dr. White was then selected for a plastic surgery residency at the prestigious Wilford Hall Medical Center. WHMC is the largest medical center in the United States Air Force, which receives referrals and complicated cases from all over the world.
Post Residency
After residency, he was then assigned to Wiesbaden Regional Medical Center in West Germany and was promoted to Chief of Plastic Surgery. Dr. White was the first plastic surgeon ever permanently assigned to the European Theater.
Extensive Experience
While serving in the Air Force with distinction, he gained extensive experience in burns and facial trauma through his medical work as Commander of the F.A.S.T team during the Pan AM hostage incident, U.S.S. Stark missile attack, and the Italian Aerial Disaster at Ramstein Air Base.
Commendations
Dr. White then left the Air Force and continued in the United States Air Force Reserves and attained the rank of Colonel. He has received the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal while serving his duty at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, SC.
Experience
Dr. White has lectured extensively all over Europe and at several meetings in the United States. He has served on numerous hospital committees, to include Chairman of the Credentials Committee, Secretary of the Medical Executive Committee, Vice Chief of Staff and Chief of Staff of Grand Strand Regional Medical Center from 1999-2000.

Dr. White is President and CEO of Carolina Coastal Plastic Surgery Center, a 15,500 square foot Certified Ambulatory Surgery Center that specializes in Plastic Surgery. He has been voted Best Plastic Surgeon 6 of the last 8 years. He is a contributing expert witness, public speaker, and owner of a AAAASF surgery center.
Dr. William A. Ross
Dr. William Ross is a Plastic Surgeon who was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He was trained to perform the full spectrum of Plastic Surgery, including reconstructive and aesthetic surgery.
He began his career in the university setting, training residents, students, and nurses in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He now focuses exclusively on aesthetic surgery. Dr. Ross performs brow lifts, blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), face lifts, neck rejuvenation, and laser procedures. He has published multiple peer-reviewed articles, including the use of fat grafting for facial rejuvenation. He has extensive experience in breast reconstruction, breast enhancement, and body shaping, which includes liposuction, abdominoplasty (“tummy tuck”), body lifts, and rejuvenation of the arms, legs, and hands. Dr. Ross utilizes both traditional and innovative therapies to deliver the best results possible.
Dr. Ross is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgery and the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Throughout his career, he has received the highest ratings for patient satisfaction and quality of care. His own statements best summarize his care philosophy: “My belief is that patients should be treated as if they were members of my own family.
